Pi Beta Phi, often known simply as Pi Phi, is an international women’s fraternity founded at Monmouth College, in Monmouth, Illinois on April 28, 1867.
IN 1867, Pi Beta Phi’s twelve founders had the vision to form the first secret society for women patterned after men’s groups at a time when only five state universities admitted women. Pi Phi at Emory hosts “Pi Phi Gives You Wings”, a wing-eating contest to raise money for a philanthropy every fall as well as Lemonade for Literacy awareness events. Outside of Pi Phi, sisters do groundbreaking research, lead organizations, found nonprofits, marathon Netflix, explore Atlanta, and so much more!
