Kappa Alpha Theta, also known simply as Theta, is an international Greek-letter fraternity for women founded on January 27, 1870, at DePauw University, formerly Indiana Asbury. Kappa Alpha Theta was the first Greek-letter fraternity for women and was founded by four female students.
Their national philanthropy is CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, whose mission is to provide support to victims of childhood neglect and abuse through legal assistance. They support CASA through signature events such as Greek Physique and CASA Carnival, as well as through bake sales and lemonade stands throughout the year. They have frequent sisterhood events, and, whether it’s a movie night in the lodge or a trip to an Atlanta United Soccer Game, they love to spend time together and grow our sisterhood.
